Niko is only the person my 17 year old has repeatedly gone back to for a haircut as a kid who *hated it* growing up. He always bellyaches for the first week that it is too short but then agrees he made the right decision on week 2 and is happy until a couple months later where he says he needs to make an appointment when his hair is out of control, does it, and we repeat the process over again. I don't even go or even suggest the appointment, and he choses to pay for it. This is literally the best review I could give a barber. Niko is a saint.

This is NOT a good place for young children!!! My husband brought my 4 year old there today (0906/2025) and the barber (a female) didn’t do a good job at all. She was paranoid about her things breaking (Xbox controllers and such) and didn’t know how to distract my kid. Mind you, he has a habit of holding things for comfort and why leave those things out if you don’t want children touching them? It was his first time as a toddler/young child getting a cut at a barber and I wish I had him go to one of the places in the Somerville or Cambridge area where his friends go. This place may be fine for older children or children who are not as sensitive. $33 for a terrible job where the hair around the ears is long and the hair is barely trimmed. I’d give this place 0 stars in a heartbeat and never intend to return here. P.S: They didn’t do a good job with my husband’s hair either. $38 for that and so not worth it!
