How do I delete my account? (KVKK / GDPR)
Permanently delete your account and request data removal under KVKK / GDPR.
Under KVKK (Turkey's personal-data law) and GDPR, you have the right to delete your glossgo account and request removal of your data.
Steps
- Go to My Profile → Settings → Privacy.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete My Account.
- (Optional) Choose a reason on the confirmation screen.
- Enter the 6-digit SMS code we send to your phone number.
- Tap Delete Account.
Your account is removed immediately, and your data is handled per the list below.
Data that gets deleted
- Profile info (name, phone, email, date of birth)
- Preferences, favorites, notification settings
- Reviews and ratings (anonymized, not removed entirely so the public review history stays consistent)
- Gift card balance (if any — spend it before deleting)
- Transaction history (after the legal retention window — see below)
Data we must keep by law
Turkish tax law requires us to retain invoices and payment records for 10 years. During that period:
- We never contact you.
- The data is not used for any commercial purpose.
- It's only shared if officially requested by Turkish authorities.
Data export
Want a copy before you delete? Use My Profile → Settings → Privacy → Download My Data to receive a JSON archive of everything in your account.
Cancellation
Deletion is permanent. You can register again with the same phone number, but old appointment and review history won't return.
