How do I find salons on the map?
Switch between list and map views on the search page, pan the map to discover salons in a neighborhood, and tap pins to see a mini preview before opening the full detail page.
The search page lets you browse salons in two views: a vertical list view and an interactive map view. The map view is more intuitive for location-based discovery.
Switch to the map
In the segment at the top of the search results, tap the Map tab. All visible salons are marked as pins on the map; pin size shrinks with distance (the closest salons stand out more).
Navigate the map
- Drag: Swipe to pan the map in any direction.
- Zoom: Two-finger pinch in/out or the +/− buttons in the lower right.
- Recenter on me: The blue location icon in the lower right snaps the map back to your current position.
As you pan or zoom, a Search this area button appears at the top of the screen; tapping it re-runs the search for the visible map region.
Tap a pin
Tap a salon pin. A mini card opens at the bottom with the salon name, cover photo, average rating, starting price, and distance. Tap the card again to open the full salon detail page.
Filters and sorting
Filters (category, district, verified, etc.) and sorting (distance, rating, price) work in map view too. Tap the Filters button up top to apply them; the results on the map update accordingly.
Location permission
The map needs location permission to focus on your area. If you didn't grant it:
- The map defaults to Istanbul's center coordinates.
- The "Recenter on me" button doesn't work.
- Distance values may show as "—".
To grant it, go to your device's Settings → glossgo → Location and pick While using the app.
If the map doesn't load, check your internet connection or restart the app.
