How do I tune notifications by channel and type?

Toggle email, push, and SMS independently. Pick the channel per notification type (booking reminder, promotion, review request, etc.) so you only get what you want where you want it.

The notification preferences page lets you control every glossgo notification by channel (email / push / SMS) and type (booking, marketing, system). Knowing which notifications are required vs. optional helps you tune the experience without breaking anything.

Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications. You'll see three main groups:

1. Booking notifications (default on)

  • Booking confirmation — when a reservation is made
  • Booking reminder — 24 hours ahead
  • Booking cancellation — when you or the salon cancels
  • Booking rescheduled — when the salon shifts the appointment

We don't recommend turning the whole group off — missing a booking can cost you a no-show fee. You can disable individual channels (e.g. push on, SMS off).

2. Marketing notifications (opt-in)

  • Salon promotions — campaigns from salons in your favorites
  • New recommendations — salons users like you liked
  • New slot opened — from the waitlist
  • Birthday greetings

This group is opt-in under KVKK — off by default. Toggle each row to turn it on.

3. System notifications

  • Account security — password change, new-device login (CANNOT be disabled — security guard rail)
  • Legal changes — Terms of Service and Privacy Policy updates
  • Payment notices — saved card expiring soon, etc.

Channel options

Pick any combination per notification row across three channels:

  • 📧 Email — from info@glossgo.com
  • 🔔 Push — to your phone
  • 💬 SMS — to your registered phone (booking group only)

Example: For "Booking reminder" you only want push, so toggle off email and SMS on that row only.

"Everything off" scenario

You can turn off every channel, but security notifications (new-device login, password change) still send via email — KVKK and account-security requirements force this. The behavior isn't user-configurable.

Bulk actions

  • Turn off all marketing notifications: Turn All Off button at the top of the Marketing group.
  • Reset notification preferences: returns all toggles to defaults.

Consent records

Under KVKK, every preference change is written to an audit log with IP + date + time. View your history at Profile → KVKK Actions → Consent History.
