How do I edit my profile? (Name, email, photo)
Update name, email, birth date, profile photo, and language preference from your profile page. Phone number changes use a separate verification flow.
The profile page is where you edit every personal detail you provided at signup or added later. Profile info isn't visible on salon pages — it's only shared with a salon during an active booking.
Open the profile page
- Tap Profile.
- Tap the Edit pencil icon next to your profile photo at the top.
Editable fields:
First and last name
Edit in one line (e.g. "Ayşe Yılmaz"). This is shown to salons in full during bookings — under KVKK you can use a private nickname, but it may cause friction if the salon needs to verify your ID.
Birth date
Adding your birthday lets salons you've opted into send birthday promotions. The field is optional; it's only shared with salons whose marketing notifications you've enabled.
Profile photo
Tap Change Photo. Pick from your device or camera. The system auto-crops to a square (300x300px). The photo:
- Is not visible on the salon's public profile.
- Only appears as a visual hint to salon staff in their booking list.
- Can be removed at any time via Remove Photo.
KVKK compliance: uploaded photos are stored encrypted on Cloudflare R2; only you and the staff of salons with active bookings can see them.
Language
Pick Türkçe or English from the dropdown. The app UI and email/push notifications from glossgo are sent in the chosen language.
Email address
To change email, tap Change Email:
- Enter the new email address.
- A 6-digit verification code is sent to the new email.
- Enter and confirm.
- The old email also gets a "your account's email has changed" security notice (KVKK requirement).
Phone number (separate flow)
Changing the phone number has its own flow because it's the primary authentication channel:
- Follow the steps in How do I change my phone number?.
- The new number must be SMS-verified before the old one is removed.
Address book
Below the profile photo, the My Addresses section manages delivery or visit addresses. Addresses you add aren't visible on salon profiles — only shared with the salon during mobile-service / at-home bookings.
