If you’re looking to escape the high-energy streets of Karaköy, SpaSoul at the JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus is a refined sanctuary that perfectly balances modern luxury with Istanbul’s deep-rooted wellness traditions. Located within the historic Veli Alemdar Han building, the spa immediately feels like a hidden gem. The design is sleek and contemporary, yet it retains a sense of warmth. As a high-end hotel spa, it avoids the "clinical" feel of many city gyms, offering a quiet, dimly lit environment that feels worlds away from the Galataport crowds just outside. While they offer a full range of massages and facials, the Turkish Hammam is the standout. It isn’t just a treatment; it’s a ritual. ​The Ritual: You are led into a stunning marble chamber where the heat begins to work its magic. The traditional kese (exfoliation) is thorough but professional, followed by a cloud-like foam massage that leaves your skin feeling incredibly renewed. ​The Vibe: Unlike some of the larger, more tourist-heavy historic hammams in the city, SpaSoul offers a private, boutique experience that feels much more personal and serene. Facilities & Amenities ​Fitness Center: For those who want a workout with a view, the gym is state-of-the-art and well-maintained. ​Relaxation Area: After your treatment, the relaxation lounge is the perfect spot to sip on herbal tea and slowly transition back to reality. ​Staff: The therapists are highly skilled and attentive, taking the time to understand your pressure preferences and any focus areas. I loved their amenities which included the Turkish Bath, Gym, Steam, and Sauna. I went for their traditional Turkish Hammam bath which included Scrub, Foam Massage and Turkish Bath.
